| | | | Communications | | Chairman: Melissa McDowell | | | | The Communications Committee coordinates, provides, and advises on internal and external
communications and publicity for parish activities and organizations. In this way the Committee helps the parish to organize
for growth and to keep before the public a cohesive, consistent, attractive, welcoming invitation to join our family.
It formulates budget requests for communications/publicity and administers the approved budget for the Committee projects. Committee
media include the parish newsletter, website, Facebook page, and church brochure. It also is the liaison to the diocese
in these matters. (For more information, see the Communications Charter.)

like to join the Committee, or if you have suggestions for its consideration, contact the chairman. | | Members: Tracy Lynch, vice chair Terry Arnold*
| | | | Hospitality | | Chairwomen: Carolyn Underwood Marti O’Sullivan | | | | The Hospitality Committee at St. Stephen’s hosts a variety of events
at which our church family and guests can enjoy food and fellowship. Functions include the annual Pentecost Picnic and the
Annual Parish Meeting brunch. It also arranges for food during our Lenten programs, fundraisers, and receptions (e.g.,
Speaker Series, bishop’s visits, funerals).

| | | | Outreach | | Chairwoman: Elaine Marshall | | | | The Outreach Committee provides
the congregation of St. Stephen’s both corporate and individual means of obeying Christ’s command to feed His
sheep. It plans charitable donations and activities, large and small, directed at needs of our community, our commonwealth,
our nation, and our world. The Committee
formulates annual Outreach budget requests for the Vestry and administers the approved Outreach budget line items. It also
decides the recipients of monthly donations from half of the loose-plate offerings. In addition to these funds,
the Committee originates and runs several charitable projects each year; those activities are listed in the Calendar and described in Upcoming Events. The Outreach page briefly describes or links to the websites of local organizations to which St. Stephen’s donates time and
money. The Urgent Needs page lists requests for emergency or immediate help for local, national, or international crises. Finally, the Committee
reports on its efforts periodically to the church members and provides a yearly summary of its efforts at the Annual Meeting.
The Committee’s minutes and reports can be viewed here (you will need to get a password first from the website administrator). Meetings are generally held on the second Monday
of each month at 7 p.m. Though the Committee
chooses and schedules Outreach activities, all parishioners are encouraged to suggest events and to volunteer to lead
or take part in them. If you would like to join the Committee, or if you want to suggest projects for St. Stephen’s,
please contact one of the chairs. (For more information, see the Outreach Committee Charter.) | | Members: Ed Austin, vice chair Dorothy Burch Julie Daniels Allan DeWall Marily DeWall Becky Hamill Sam Morello Lana Nunnally*

members of the church are ministers to the people, some of whom have chosen to support the rector specifically in the ministry
of pastoral care. Through this ministry they provide practical help, encouragement, and support to others in times of crisis,
